Results of work of Kombinat Magnezit JSC in the first half of 2006
Kombinat Magnezit JSC (makes part of Magnezit Group Ltd.) increased production of refractory shaped products by 5% in the first half of 2006 in comparison with the same period of 2005, namely up to 191,3 thousand tons. Production of salable powders was increased by 13,6% — up to 390,2 thousand tons.
- In current year Kombinat monthly overfulfils plan of shipment of shaped products and powders. During six months of the current year production volumes of shipped refractories increased by 13,7 percent in comparison with the same period of 2005. Mining of raw magnesite increased by 5,1 percent up to 1,5 million tons, stripping — by 9,5 percent up to 4,3 million cubic meters, — informed production manager Mr. Yuri Kochergin, — Growth of production volumes of salable powders is related to increase of demand for coarse fractions powders. The number of buyers of our powders increased thanks to manufacturers from Ukraine and enterprises of other CIS countries. Besides shipments of periclase powders to European countries increased too.
In June 2006 Kombinat Magnezit produced 29,8 thousand tons of shaped refractories. It is by 8 % more than in June of last year. Production volumes of salable powders reached 69,3 thousand tons which is by 26, 6 % more than in June 2005.
